Depot Operations Manager

Brisbane (QLD), Australia | req32091

What you will enjoy doing

You will perform the duties of the company “Operator” as per Queensland statutory requirements
Represent Elgas with QLD regulators (DNRME, WHSQ including HICB) is required and to provide leadership and ensure compliance to MHF requirements for Lytton and Pinkenba MHF sites
In this role you will maintain and drive compliance to the Linde and statutory requirements
You will ensure all incidents and near misses are reported and improvement actions completed
To ensure training requirements are met for all employees and contractors is rqquired by you and to manage depot operations to better than budgeted unit costs whilst meeting industry and regulator safety and customer service standards
You will improve profitability through benchmarking, reviewing operations to ensure best operating costs
Manage Capex submissions and implementation
In addition you will lead projects and facilitate resources as required by the business
Complete and submit a monthly report as per agreed timetable

What makes you great

Tertiary Qualification in an engineering / technical or operations management
5 years+ in LPG / Petroleum Industry or Multi-Site Management
MHF experience (highly regarded)
You have experience managing relationships with regulators and external stakeholders (highly regarded)
Experience in cost management is a plus
Depot / operations management with cost accountability
You have a good understanding of OH&S legislation and requirements in the workplace
Influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution skills are required
You have skills in process / project improvement
Change management is necesssary
Computer literacy
