Applications are invited from experienced Registered Nurses with qualifications and/or experience in Sexual Health Nursing to join the dynamic Sexual Health Service at Albury Community Health.
In this role, you will provide expert, patient-centred, and evidence-based care to individuals and groups within the Albury and surrounding communities who may be at increased risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV, and other blood-borne viruses (BBVs). The position encompasses direct clinical care, health promotion, community education, and support services, with a focus on improving sexual health outcomes.
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using contemporary practice principles to deliver high-quality, person-centred services.
We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity:
Registered Nurse with (AHPRA) together with demonstrated ability to meet the National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse and Australasian Sexual Health and HIV Nurses Association (ASHHNA) competency Standards domains
Post graduate qualification in the field of Sexual Health & Reproductive Health Specialty and or equivalent work experience with the demonstrated competencies in Sexual Health Nursing or a combination of both study and work experience.
Demostrated knowledge and understanding of Sexual Health Nursing, its application in caring for clients and an understanding of harm minimisation principles.
Demostrated knowledge of current nursing care of people living with HIV (PLWHIV) within a community setting.
Demostrated committment to professional development, evidenced-based practice and understanding of recent contemporary changes in Sexual and Reproductive health.
Achivement of NSW Authorisation as a Nurse Immuniser.
Employment Type: This is a permanent part-time position (16 hours per week).
