We’re looking for an experienced Administration Manager / Senior Patient Services Officer to join our Oncology team at Cabrini on a permanent, full-time basis, working Monday to Friday.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our Patient Services team, supporting and developing your people while ensuring our patients receive a consistently high standard of service. You’ll work closely with the broader multidisciplinary team and play an important role in creating an efficient, collaborative and patient-focused environment.

More specifically, you will:

Lead, support and develop the Patient Services team, creating a positive, engaged and collaborative working environment.
Oversee day-to-day patient services operations, ensuring the team delivers an efficient and welcoming experience for patients and their carers.
Coach and develop team members through regular feedback, performance conversations and ongoing development.
Champion the patient experience, responding to feedback and identifying opportunities to continuously improve our services.
Support and lead change and continuous improvement initiatives across the practice.
Develop strong working relationships with clinical teams and other internal and external stakeholders.
Provide guidance on Radiation Oncology billing, Medicare, the Medicare Safety Net, private health funds and patient out-of-pocket costs.
Support the team with complex patient accounts and billing enquiries.

About you

You’ll be an experienced healthcare administration professional who enjoys leading from the front, developing people and creating a great experience for both patients and your team.

You’ll also bring:

Experience leading or supervising a team, ideally within a healthcare environment.
Strong medical administration and reception experience.
A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centred service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with patients, team members and stakeholders at all levels.
Strong coaching and people development skills.
A collaborative, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
Experience supporting change and continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong medical billing and accounts processing knowledge, including Medicare, DVA and private health funds.
Confidence using clinical administration systems and Microsoft Office.
