The ideal candidate is responsible for organizing, overseeing the manufacturing process and ensuring usage of the resources is cost-effective. The successful applicant will work within a small team, working with engineering discipline.
- Attending all production meetings to stay abreast of situations in the manufacturing environment.
- Setting up the priorities for the production jobs within the team
- Prepare job traveler in the ERP system for jobs and repeat projects
- Prepare DXF files of wear liners and steel template
- Prepare nest and cutting plans for CNC plasma
- Checking the job travelers
- Assist production personnel with technical queries
- Create drawings for the wear liners
- Create concept or engineering drawing
- Prepare NDT, TRF , NCR
- Obtaining quotes and raising internal/external PO’s for material requirements
- Managing repeat jobs
- QA/QC of the items coming back from the subcontractor

Formal Qualifications:
- Engineering degree is preferable but not essential.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years drafting experience with an Engineering consultancy.
Knowledge / Skills:
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor and other related software.
- Good level of technical knowledge.
- Exceptional time management.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Proven experience in a diverse range of projects would be preferred.
- An eye for detail and ability to produce quality drawings.
- Excellent communication with ability to work well with Engineers & other drafting staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst undertaking several tasks concurrently.
- Sound Knowledge of Engineering in a manufacturing environment, understanding the many manufacturing processes from design to manufacturing, quality control and delivery in full.
- Knowledge of Computer technology and IT would be an advantage.
