The Position
The Technical Business Analyst is a member of the Customer Comms - Platforms Management squad. In this role, you will be the crucial bridge between our business objectives and technical execution, with a specialised focus on our Marketing Technology (MarTech) ecosystem, including Salesforce, Branch and SWRVE and custom middleware.
You will be responsible for understanding technical systems, driving platform enhancements and showing proactive leadership in agile delivery, always taking innovative approaches to solving complex, interesting problems while putting our platform users and customer experience first.
What you’ll do
MarTech & Data Expertise: Deep understanding of the MarTech stack (SFMC, Branch, SWRVE, AI tools), technical documentation (diagrams/specs), and leveraging data to drive product and platform decisions.
Ambiguity & Process Optimisation: Proven ability to navigate evolving business needs, map legacy systems/blind spots, analyse business processes, and translate complex problems into clear technical requirements.
Analyse Business Processes: Analyse existing business processes, identify pain points, and recommend improvements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
Support Solution Designs: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, and product managers, to ensure technical requirements are considered in solution designs and that existing designs meet business requirements and user needs.
Requirements & Backlog Management: Skilled in conducting discovery workshops, authoring technical user stories with strict acceptance criteria (security, risk, performance), and driving continuous backlog prioritization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Design: Partners with Product, Engineering, and Stakeholders to shape scalable solution designs, align platform capabilities with business goals, and support QA/implementation for high-quality delivery.
Leadership & Knowledge Sharing: Takes initiative to unearth undocumented system behaviors while actively mentoring team members on advanced tools and techniques.
What you’ll bring
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst, within a digital or technology-driven environment.
Experience working with Agile methodologies is a plus.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Experience working with a cross functional set of stakeholders including Product, Business, Engineering and Delivery.
Experience with MarTech platforms and data pipelines.
