Project Coordinator
Are you a proactive and detail-driven Project Coordinator with 5+ years of experience in the electrical or communications industry? Equans is seeking a high-performing professional to support our Project Managers and ensure the seamless delivery of complex projects across South Australia.
We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident Project Coordinator to play a pivotal role in supporting our growing pipeline of projects within our Electrical and Communications division in our Thebarton office.
This role will be working alongside dedicated Project Managers, you will play a key role in the planning and coordination of various project initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively within a skilled and supportive team.

What you will be doing
- Take ownership of project coordination activities and become the central point of contact ensuring project milestones, documentation, resources and compliance requirements stay on track.
- Act as a consistent point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including purchase/work orders, invoices, SWMS and tenders.
- Assist with project cost tracking, budget monitoring, and cost reporting
- Process variations, progress claims, bank guarantees, and retentions.
- Coordinate labour and materials, including technician scheduling and timesheet accuracy.
- Ensure project compliance requirements are met through proactive management of licences, insurances, SWMS, inductions and contractor documentation
- Support on-site staff with direction and ensure smooth project execution.
- Arrange travel, accommodation, and vehicle requirements for regional works.
- Identify and resolve project-related risks and issues as they arise.
- Support project close-out activities, including documentation, warranties, and handover requirements
- Uphold quality, safety, and operational standards across all assigned projects.

- Proven experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
- Confidence engaging with operational teams and subcontractors.
- The ability to make decisions, solve problems and drive outcomes.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- A resilient, positive attitude with a willingness to step in and get things done.
- Experience working in fast-paced electrical, communications, construction or infrastructure environments.
