Your Role
We have five (5) Lead Engineer opportunities available across Member Management and Member Engagement!
Working under the overall technical direction of the Principal Solution Engineer, the Lead Engineer translates agreed solution intent into executable engineering plans for their assigned domain.
The role guides implementation choices, resolves coding and technical execution issues, supports estimation and sequencing, embeds engineering standards, and ensures the team builds with quality, resilience, security, operability and supportability from the outset.
The Lead Engineer provides first-line support for engineer development, delivery confidence and team capability, allowing the Principal Solution Engineer to stay focused on broader solution direction, technical stakeholder engagement and squad-level technical leadership.
-
Translate product priorities and agreed technical direction into clear, sequenced and deliverable engineering work within the assigned domain.
-
Keep the team focused on safe, maintainable and outcome oriented execution while escalating material risks or trade-offs to the Principal Solution Engineer
-
Remain close to the code, system detail and implementation decisions.
-
Contribute directly where required, review technical work, support engineers through complex implementation issues and ensure coding practices meet agreed standards.
-
Contribute practical implementation insight to solution design led by the Principal Solution Engineer.
-
Identify constraints, edge cases, dependencies, technical debt and delivery risks that should inform option selection and technical trade-offs.
-
Apply agreed SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, testing, observability, release and production-readiness practices in day-to-day delivery. Use code review, pairing, examples and team routines to make standards real
-
Help the team build secure, resilient, observable, testable and supportable systems.
-
Use telemetry, incident learnings, defect patterns and root-cause analysis to reduce rework and improve production outcomes.
-
Support estimation, sequencing, dependency identification and release readiness for work within the assigned domain.
-
Resolve team-level blockers where possible and escalate material dependencies, architecture, security, cross-domain or prioritisation issues to the Principal Solution Engineer
-
Provide day-to-day coaching, feedback, technical guidance, capability uplift and performance input for engineers in the team.
-
Help engineers build confidence, judgement and ownership in their craft, escalating formal people or performance matters to the Principal Solution Engineer where required
-
Champion responsible use of AI-assisted engineering, automation and developer productivity tooling to improve speed, quality, test coverage, documentation, triage and knowledge sharing within approved security and governance guardrails
