The opportunity
As a Software Engineer, you'll help build, integrate and support the applications, databases and automation that keep Warrigal running. Working across the full software development lifecycle, you'll turn solution designs into secure, reliable and scalable software, while maintaining and improving the systems our teams rely on every day.
You'll work closely with the broader IT team including solutions architect, analysts, vendors and stakeholders to deliver practical technology solutions, lead software development and integration activities, and help improve the performance, reliability and security of our applications. You'll also share your technical expertise with the team and contribute to continually improving the way we develop and support our digital services.

The requirements | What it takes to do this work
Essential:
- 10+ years Demonstrated experience in software engineering, enterprise applications, digital transformation, or related technology environments.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong experience delivering secure, scalable technology solutions that align with business needs and enterprise architecture.
- Solid knowledge of enterprise applications, system integrations, data flows and business process automation.
- Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, PowerShell, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Power Platform, Git and Azure DevOps.
- Experience working across the full software development lifecycle, from solution design through to implementation, deployment and ongoing support.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, vendors and technical teams.
- A sound understanding of IT service management, governance, risk and compliance.
- Ability to travel to Warrigal sites to support implementations, training, troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement, and operational activities.
Desirable:
- Experience in aged care, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of aged care processes, clinical systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, SharePoint, and Power Platform.
- Experience with low-code and configuration-based platforms.
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft technologies, ITIL, project management, change management, or business transformation.
- Experience working in outsourced IT environments and managing external service providers.
- Exposure to enterprise platforms such as Epicor, Dayforce, CareVision, MYOB PayGlobal, Telstra Health, BestMed, or similar systems.
- Experience in data, reporting, analytics, and information management solutions.
