The Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation is the fundraising arm of Peter Mac. The Foundation accelerates life-saving cancer research by providing critical funding for innovative projects, enabling researchers to discover new ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer. About the role
The Foundation is seeking an experienced Community Fundraising Coordinator to support our donor and income growth within the Community Fundraising portfolio. In this role you will be responsible for the implementation of a range of cultivation and stewardship engagement activities to maximise peer to peer participation and donations to achieve targets. This role will pay a key role in inspiring individuals to participate in community fundraising events to make a significant impact on the search for cancer cures.
Key responsibilities will see you:
- Co-ordinate the acquisition and engagement of community fundraisers within the portfolio
- Oversee program administration such pipeline co-ordination, CRM data maintenance and day-to-day stakeholder management• Delivery of service level standards to develop and steward supporters from event inception through to donor recognition activities
- Deliver data-driven insights and analysis to support acquisition, retention and ROI optimisation

About you
You will be someone with excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills, who is able to build strong partnerships and deliver programs that inspire lasting donor support.
You’ll bring to this role:
- Demonstrated fundraising experience, with experience and proven success in community and fundraising
- Sound knowledge of databases, preferably fundraising databases, in particular Blackbaud CRM
- Excellent program reporting and analytical abilities
- Sound knowledge of fundraising legislation, practices and philosophy of charitable giving

Essential Requirements
Proven experience in initiating, developing and coordinating successful events of varying scale in the corporate and/or not-for-profit sector
Experience in coordinating, cultivating and developing a portfolio of fundraisers, corporate supporters and prospects, and servicing donor/sponsor commitments
Experience working with and supporting committees and volunteers
Knowledge and understanding of fundraising principles and practices
Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to produce, analyse and interpret program performance information
The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
The ability to exercise tact, discretion and good judgment, and to motivate people towards a common goal
Self-motivated and driven
Ability to occasionally work outside normal office hours
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft products
Desirable Requirements
Experience in using a fundraising database (preferably Raiser’s Edge)
An ability to relate sensitively to people who have been impacted by cancer

1.Support the Community and Events Fundraising program in maximising participant engagement and net income from community fundraising, peer to peer fundraising events and activities.
Increase supporter event and third-party fundraising volumes and revenue by identifying, cultivating and developing a sustainable portfolio of fundraisers and prospects
Coordinate and develop Peter Macs engagement with corporate supporters, including, but not limited to, corporate participation in events, workplace giving, and facilitating agreed fundraising activities with corporate supporters
Coordinate and maximise income generated through In Celebration and In Thanks giving
Develop and coordinate service level standards for in-bound community fundraising enquiries, stewardship and administration delivery and liaise with Supporter Engagement Manager on service delivery and donor performance

2.Contribute to the Foundations fundraising goals through the development, facilitation and day to day coordination of quality fundraising events: Including but not exclusive to Unite to Fight Cancer and the Tour de Cure Peter Mac Ride
Under the direction of the Community and Events Fundraising Manager, proactively support major fundraising events (whether delivering the events in-house, or managing external suppliers) to meet agreed sustainable event deliverables, participation targets and net returns
Service level standards effectively implemented to develop and steward prospects through personal contact (predominantly telephone, email and targeted donor engagement functions)
Activities and reports demonstrate participant and income progression in line with each programs KPIs
3.Increase and grow supporter event and third-party fundraising net revenue by identifying, cultivating and developing a sustainable portfolio of fundraisers and prospects.
Maintain and grow a pipeline of fundraisers, delivering upon agreed community fundraising service level standards to maximise fundraising results in the short and long term

Assist in educating Peter Mac staff about program fundraising policies and procedures
Ensure all fundraising materials are reviewed and approved by Foundation communication staff and FRD prior to publication and distribution.
