We are in a phase of change with our internal tech stack and we are looking for our first internal tech based hire to assist the CTO in managing and enriching our master data.
Position Summary
The Data & Analytics Analyst is responsible for managing, analysing, and reporting on business data across ERP, PIM, eCommerce, CRM, and operational systems.
This role transforms raw data into actionable insights that support decision-making across sales, procurement, inventory, operations, finance, customer experience, and executive leadership.
The successful candidate will have strong experience working with ERP and Product Information Management (PIM) platforms, data modelling, SQL querying, dashboard development, reporting, and data governance. They will play a key role in improving data quality, building scalable reporting solutions, and enabling the business to leverage data as a strategic asset.
Key Responsibilities
· Data Management & Governance
- Own and maintain data quality across key business systems.
- Identify and resolve data integrity issues.
- Develop processes for ongoing data validation and monitoring.
- Work with business stakeholders to define data standards and governance practices.
- Support master data management initiatives across products, customers, suppliers, inventory, and pricing.
· ERP & PIM Administration
- Support and optimise ERP and PIM data structures and processes.
- Collaborate with business teams to improve product data quality and completeness.
- Manage product attributes, classifications, taxonomies, and enrichment workflows.
- Assist with integrations between ERP, PIM, eCommerce, marketplaces, and customer procurement platforms.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and business transformation projects.
· Reporting & Analytics
- Design and develop dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards.
- Build executive, operational, and departmental reporting packs.
- Translate business requirements into meaningful analytical solutions.
- Analyse trends, exceptions, and performance drivers across the organisation.
- Deliver actionable recommendations backed by data.
· Data Modelling & Query Development
- Write complex SQL queries for analysis, validation, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain data models that support reporting and analytics requirements.
- Create reusable datasets and reporting structures.
- Support data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives.
- Optimise reporting performance through efficient data design.
· Business Intelligence
- Build and maintain Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent BI solutions.
- Develop interactive dashboards for operational and executive stakeholders.
- Monitor adoption and effectiveness of reporting solutions.
- Train users on reporting tools and self-service analytics capabilities.
· Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business leaders to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
- Present insights and recommendations in a clear, business-friendly format.
- Work closely with Technology, Operations, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams.
- Support enterprise transformation and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
- Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a business intelligence, data analyst or similar role.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong experience managing and analysing large datasets.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience writing complex queries.
- Experience designing and maintaining data models.
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Phocas, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and master data management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience with Akeneo PIM.
- Experience with Odoo ERP.
- Experience with other leading PIM platforms such as Inriver, Salsify, Pimcore, Riversand, Stibo Systems, Syndigo, or Informatica PIM.
- Experience in product data management, eCommerce, retail, distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale environments.
- Experience with data warehouses and ETL processes.
- Experience integrating ERP, PIM, CRM, eCommerce, and marketplace platforms.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, or predictive analytics solutions.
