ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the Legal & Business Affairs team at Cricket Australia and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, timely legal advice across all areas of the organisation.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of Australian Cricket, partnering with stakeholders across the business on some of the sport's most significant commercial, operational and strategic matters. From major event and venue agreements to player, employment, technology and governance matters, you'll provide trusted advice that helps shape the future of the game.
Joining a collaborative and high-performing legal team, you'll be empowered to lead complex negotiations, drive innovative solutions and influence key business decisions. If you're a commercially-minded lawyer who enjoys building strong relationships, navigating diverse legal challenges and contributing to a purpose-driven organisation, this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact on and off the field.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to practise as an Australian lawyer.
6+ years' post-qualification experience in private practice and/or an in-house legal environment.
Strong expertise in commercial, contract and corporate law, with sound commercial judgement.
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to simplify complex legal issues and provide practical, solutions-focused advice.
Excellent analytical, drafting and project management capabilities, with strong attention to detail.
Collaborative, adaptable and positive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment; experience in sport, major events, governance or commercial rights is highly regarded.
