What we are looking for:
We’re seeking a customer-focused technical professional who can support and enhance our library’s technology systems and services. You’ll bring strong troubleshooting and cloud technology skills, a proactive approach to improving systems with an attention to detail, and the ability to provide digital solutions and support to both staff and customers.
What your day will look like:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for library systems, hardware, software, and digital platforms.
- Support the development, integration, and maintenance of library technologies and digital services.
- Assist with the implementation and ongoing improvement of digital systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- Contribute to technology projects, including upgrades, testing, rollout, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deliver digital programs and support while maintaining system security, compliance, and vendor relationships.

What you’ll need for success:
- Working with Children Blue Card (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement).
- Valid Queensland Class C or CA driver licence (provisional or open).
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the public.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain hardware, software and networked systems in a customer-focused environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of library systems, digital resources, databases and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure and Intune deployment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft and Linux server and client operating systems, virtual machine (VM) technologies and basic networking.
What’s nice to have:
- Certificate IV or higher qualification in Information Technology.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training, or willingness to obtain.
- Experience with public library systems, information and library technologies, or related technologies environments.
- Experience with emerging technologies such as coding, robotics, makerspace tools and audio-visual solutions.
- Experience maintaining websites, intranet, social media platforms and database systems.
