About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced fixed plant Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team at Newcastle Agri Terminal, Carrington NSW.
This full-time position requires a flexible and proactive individual capable of performing a variety of mechanical tasks. The role operates on a rostered Monday to Friday, 40-hour week, with opportunities for weekend overtime.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
- Experience in Industrial installation and fault-finding
- Previous experience in heavy industry
- Experience with conveyor belt systems and associated equipment
- familiarisation with electrical equipment in hazardous areas
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Strong focus to safety, problem-solving and decision making
Desirable (but not essential) Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the grain industry or similar materials handling environment
- MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
- EWP over 11 metres
- Confined Space entry qualifications
- RISI (Rail industry safety induction)
- Forklift license
- Telehandler operations
- Front End Loader operations
- Rigger or dogman qualifications
