ABOUT THE ROLE
Lead the development and contracting activities of Ferrovial Energy in Australia, driving business growth opportunities from early client engagement through to contract award. The role is responsible for managing tendering and commercial positioning, consolidating project estimates, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, and supporting the successful transition from opportunity identification to project execution.
Reports directly to the Business Direction of Ferrovial Energy and works closely with the Australian Leadership Team and Corporate Functions.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Lead business development activities across renewable energy, transmission and energy infrastructure opportunities in Australia.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with clients, developers, utilities, government agencies, partners and key industry stakeholders.
Coordinate bid and tender processes, ensuring alignment between technical, commercial, legal and delivery teams.
Manage the consolidation and validation of project estimates, pricing strategies and commercial assumptions prior to bid submission.
Drive the development of bid strategies and risk assessments.
Ensure stakeholder expectations are effectively managed throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
Support executive decision-making through preparation of bid reviews and approvals.
Monitor market opportunities, industry developments and competitor activity to identify strategic growth initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
Proven experience in business development, tendering, estimating within the energy, infrastructure or EPC sectors.
Strong understanding of renewable energy, transmission and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Experience managing complex stakeholder environments involving clients, partners, contractors and corporate functions.
Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills.
Ability to operate effectively within multidisciplinary and international teams.
