Senior Analyst Financial Reporting and Analytics – 2 x ongoing roles
Grade: 9/10
Salary range: $133,348-$146,945 + superannuation and leave loading
Duration: 2 x permanent full-time roles, ongoing
Location: Hybrid with an in-office requirement on 2 days a week in Sydney, McKell. This may be subject to change in line with DCS workplace policies
Provide critical financial insights that support major capital investment decisions and the delivery of complex telecommunications infrastructure programs.
This role plays a key role in supporting NSWTA's capital investment portfolio, delivering financial modelling, reporting and insights that help drive investment decisions, support asset capitalisation and ensure the successful delivery of complex telecommunications and critical infrastructure programs.
About the team
This role sits within the NSW Telco Authority Finance team.
The team supports major telecommunications and infrastructure programs by delivering financial reporting, analytics, budgeting, forecasting and decision-support services. Working closely with program, operational and executive stakeholders, the team provides insights that support investment decisions, capital governance and financial performance.
Your responsibilities will include

Developing and maintaining financial models that support major capital investment programs

Analysing, reconciling and interpreting large and complex financial datasets from multiple sources

Delivering management reporting, forecasts and financial performance analysis

Providing insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making

Partnering with program and business stakeholders to provide financial advice and support

Stakeholder engagement within the program, business, DCS and Treasury as needed

Engagement with external reviews including Infrastructure NSW, Treasury, NSW Audit Office and DCS Internal Audit

Supporting asset capitalisation activities and preparation of financial information required for capital accounting processes

Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning activities

Identifying trends, risks and opportunities through detailed financial analysis

Developing reporting tools, templates and analytical solutions that improve financial visibility and decision-making

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, analytics and financial governance processes

To be successful in this role you will have

Demonstrated experience supporting major capital investment programs
-
Proven experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, management accounting or finance business partnering roles

Advanced financial modelling capability, including complex formula-driven modelling and analysis

Strong financial reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into meaningful business insights

Experience supporting capitalisation activities and capital accounting processes

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Relevant tertiary and professional qualification

Eligibility for membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia
