Operations
Our Operations team is responsible for safely delivering high-voltage infrastructure projects across Australia, from early construction planning through to site execution, commissioning support and handover.
With CPP’s WA pipeline continuing to grow, this role will play an important part in establishing our local site delivery capability and supporting the successful delivery of major renewable energy infrastructure in the state.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our WA team and lead the site delivery of the 330kV substation works for major renewable energy project. This is a key senior site appointment, and the first Site Manager hire for our WA team, offering strong visibility, influence and future progression as the local pipeline continues to grow.
Initially based in our Perth office, you will support construction readiness activities including management plans, resourcing, supplier and contractor coordination, outage planning and site setup. From January 2027, the role will transition to site, approximately two hours north of Perth, with roster arrangements to be confirmed in line with project requirements.
Reporting to the General Manager of WA Operations, you will manage day-to-day site activities, provide strong leadership to site teams and subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. This will include site meetings, progress reporting, project documentation, workforce coordination, QA compliance, safety leadership and close collaboration with project managers, engineers, suppliers and client representatives.
Skills and Experiences:
About you
- Experienced Site Manager with strong HV substation construction and grid connection experience, ideally within EPC and renewable energy environments.
- Strong safety leadership, with the ability to identify and control critical risks, manage site compliance and maintain high quality standards.
- Proven ability to lead frontline teams, subcontractors and suppliers while keeping project managers and stakeholders well informed.
- Electrical trade qualifications
This role will suit a hands on site leader who can contribute from the early planning stage, build a strong site culture, and confidently transition into delivery once works commence. You will bring a practical approach, strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with project leadership while keeping safety, quality, cost and schedule front of mind.
