Your new role
Are you a proactive and organised administrator with a passion for supporting others? We are looking for an enthusiastic Administrative Support Officer to join the Curtin Medical School (CMS), home to WA’s only undergraduate medical degree.
This is a role with variety, impact, and connection. You will be right at the heart of our growing Medical school, supporting everything from student events to behind-the-scenes logistics - all while being a friendly face to staff, students and visitors.
Your day might include:
- Keeping our bustling Building 410 humming - from kitchen supplies to room bookings.
- Managing inboxes, answering queries, and being our front-line support.
- Organising catering, and guest logistics for exciting events like Simulated Patient sessions, GP showcases and award nights.
- Helping with finance admin - processing requisitions, purchase orders and invoices.
- Supporting our CMS programs like Dr YES and Mental Health First Aid workshops.
- Rolling up your sleeves to assist with orientation, placement information nights, and our Year 5 Award Night.

About You
Selection Criteria
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- A strong sense of initiative and a customer service mindset
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook for calendar/email coordination
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to pitch in where needed
- Demonstrated experience in a similar administrative role. Experience in the higher education or health sector will be highly regarded.
Role Requirements:
1. As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role
2. Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction

Curtin Medical School delivers Western Australia’s only undergraduate MBBS, enrolling up to 132 first year students annually with a strong emphasis on equity, rural health, and Indigenous participation.

This Full-time, fixed term (G04) role attracts a remuneration package of $76,769 - $80,677 + 17% superannuation.
