The opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) / Data Architect to join our Technology team at our corporate office in Subiaco, Perth.
Reporting to the Enterprise Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in enabling data driven decision making across the business by designing, building and maintaining scalable business intelligence, reporting and data architecture solutions.
Working closely with business leaders, site teams, IT professionals, business analysts and executive stakeholders, you will be responsible for establishing trusted data platforms, enterprise reporting solutions and practical management processes that support strategic, operational and compliance objectives.

The main responsibilities of this role include:
Assessing current data sources, reporting platforms and system integrations to identify improvement opportunities across the organisation and build modern data and analytic capabilities.
Engaging with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and translate business needs into practical and scalable reporting and data solutions
Designing, establishing and maintaining scalable, secure and efficient BI and data architectures
Developing and supporting dashboards, reports and visualisations that deliver actionable business insights
Standardising reporting frameworks, KPIs and visualisation practices across the business
Supporting self service analytics through governed and trusted data models
Designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise data warehouses, data marts and data models
Developing and optimising ETL and data integration processes to ensure reliable and accurate data availability
Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines, refresh processes and reporting solutions
Contributing to data governance, data quality, metadata management and access control practices
Ensuring BI solutions align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity and privacy requirements
Maintaining technical documentation including data dictionaries, reporting standards and solution designs
Delivering training, support and guidance to improve organisational data literacy and analytics capability
Collaborating with Technology, Operations and business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and innovation
Skills and Experiences:
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Significant experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, analytics engineering or data architecture roles
Demonstrated expertise designing and supporting enterprise reporting and analytics platforms
Strong SQL skills for data modelling, transformation, performance optimisation and troubleshooting
Demonstrable experience using databases and enterprise data environments to deliver data integration solutions
Strong understanding of:
Data warehousing and dimensional modelling
Data marts, star schemas, facts and dimensions
Enterprise data modelling and semantic models
ETL processes and data integration frameworks
Data governance, quality and stewardship principles
Dashboard design and data visualisation best practices
Data governance, quality, metadata management and stewardship principles
Dashboard design, user adoption and data visualisation best practices
Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills
Proven ability to mentor others and drive analytics maturity across an organisation
Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities with a focus on data quality and usability
Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, Microsoft Fabric and related technologies
Exposure to Qlik Sense, Snowflake, Iceberg or similar analytics platforms
Experience within mining, resources, industrial or operationally complex environments
Exposure to advanced analytics, automation or predictive modelling
Understanding of enterprise architecture, cybersecurity frameworks and regulated reporting environments
