Description:
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the VP of Platform Engineering & MLOps, the Technical Team Lead (TTL) serves as the single point of accountability for technical delivery quality while managing the day-to-day operations of the Analytics engineering team. This is a hands-on engineering leadership position where much of the role is dedicated to leading, coaching, and developing a team of analytics-focused developers.
The TTL remains technically active through code contribution, pull request reviews, and design oversight across enterprise-grade web applications, APIs, and services. Furthermore, the TTL partners closely with Data Engineering, Product, and AI teams, contributing to integration design and ensuring analytics deliverables are robust, performant, and well-architected. In addition to direct people management, the TTL owns architecture, build oversight, code quality gates, pull request review standards, and release safety.
Skills & Experience:
We would love to hear from you if you bring a proven track record of team leadership and growth, with a demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and lead engineering teams through feedback and development conversations in evolving environments. You should possess strong skills in technical planning, work breakdown, prioritization, accountability, and delivery monitoring, alongside expertise in navigating cross-functional environments and managing risks across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
From a full-stack engineering perspective, you will bring deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, combined with strong React.js frontend capabilities. You must have a genuine willingness to stay close to the code by contributing to the codebase, reviewing pull requests, and setting the technical quality bar by example.
A solid understanding of cloud-native architecture on AWS, specifically with Lambda, RDS, SQS, SNS, S3, and EKS is essential.
Additionally, you should have robust experience with testing frameworks and CI/CD optimization using Jenkins and Docker, combined with sound judgment in applying AI engineering tools to ensure they align architecturally and maintain a high quality bar.
Your data and analytics background should include a working proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB. You will also bring familiarity with OLAP and cloud data warehousing solutions like Snowflake and Amazon Redshift, allowing you to contribute effectively to integration designs feeding downstream analytics, reporting, or AI/RAG pipelines. Prior exposure to streaming or event-driven data patterns will be considered a distinct advantage.
Culture & Behaviours:
- Resilient Leadership: A calm, proactive, and resilient approach to navigating ambiguity,
- managing competing priorities, and fostering psychological safety.
- Growth Mindset: A curious, continuous learner who actively adapts and improves.
- Collaborative Culture: A commitment to building trust, delivering constructive feedback, sharing knowledge, and celebrating team recognition
