Drill Fitter - Yarrabee (Blackwater region)

Action Drill & Blast is a leading provider of integrated drilling and blasting services in Australia.

Our large REICHDrill platform rotary drill fleet is modern and maintained to the highest standard.

We are currently seeking application from experienced Drill or Diesel Fitters for a Full-Time 7/7 DIDO position at our Yarrabee Project located just outside of the local town of Blackwater in Central Queensland. This role is a day shift only position.

Experience working on drill rigs is highly desired, however, experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters who may not have worked on drill rigs before are encouraged to apply.

The salary/wage range for this role is $65.00 to $74.00 per hour with Trade-certified Fitters who are new to mining or drill rigs towards the lower end of that range and experienced Drill Fitters and Leading Hands towards the higher end.

A Local Accomodation Allowance may be applicable for Blackwater locals, please enquire for further information.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Perform scheduled drill servicing across our REICHDrill rigs
Performing unscheduled repairs
Prioritising workloads or unscheduled repairs when required
Maintaining and servicing support equipment
Fulfilling all safety requirements and maintenance reporting needs.

ESSENTIAL Skills and requirements include:

Trade Certificate (Mechanical)
Hand Tools
Driver Licence
High level of diagnostic skills and field service fault finding is highly regarded
Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour

DESIRABLE skills include:

Heavy machinery maintenance experience
Refrigerant Handling Licence
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
Ability to work as part of a small team
Excellent communication skills and safety awareness
