JOB DESCRIPTION

The Contract Logistics Site Manager is responsible for the overall performance, leadership, and operational excellence of a warehouse site, ensuring customer, financial, safety, and people objectives are achieved.

‎

This role provides end-to-end ownership of site operations, driving productivity, continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and team performance while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

How you create impact

Lead, plan, organise, and direct all warehouse operations across the site.
Drive site performance against KPIs including productivity, cost management, service levels, quality, safety, and profitability.
Ensure operational teams consistently deliver against customer, site, and people objectives.
Lead customer onboarding, operational readiness, and ongoing customer retention activities.
Build strong customer relationships and ensure operational excellence is maintained across all activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and service performance.
Promote a culture of engagement, accountability, and operational excellence across the site.
Contribute operational expertise to tenders, business proposals, and growth initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements.
Develop and coach operational leaders, supporting succession planning and capability development.
Monitor workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational performance to support customer demand.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across operations, engineering, transport, and customer management functions.

What we would like you to bring

7–12 years of experience within Contract Logistics, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain operations.
Previous experience managing large-scale warehouse operations or multi-functional logistics environments.
Proven leadership experience managing operational teams and frontline leaders.
Strong understanding of warehouse KPIs, productivity management, and operational performance.
Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
Strong customer-facing capability with experience managing operational relationships.
Commercial awareness with exposure to budgeting, cost management, and operational financial performance.
Strong knowledge of workplace safety, compliance, and quality management standards.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience within highly process-driven, high-volume operational environments is highly regarded.
