Service Stream is seeking an experienced and hands-on Enterprise Technology Lead to lead our Cloud, Network and Infrastructure Engineering team.
This senior technical leadership role is responsible for driving the reliability, security and performance of our hybrid technology environment while leading a team of engineers. Working closely with the Enterprise Technology Manager, you will shape the technology roadmap, deliver strategic initiatives, champion automation and cyber security uplift, and act as the senior escalation point across cloud, networking and infrastructure.

Cloud & Infrastructure Leadership

Lead the administration, optimisation and security of AWS and Azure environments.

Oversee hybrid cloud deployments, cloud migrations and platform modernisation initiatives.

Design and maintain secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions.

Manage cloud performance, cost optimisation and resilience strategies.
-
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend opportunities for adoption.
Networking & Connectivity
-
Oversee enterprise networking environments including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, Firewalls, DNS/DHCP, VPN technologies
-
Coordinate network upgrades, segmentation projects and cloud connectivity initiatives.

Act as the senior escalation point for complex network incidents and design decisions.
Automation & Continuous Improvement

Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation practices using PowerShell, Python, Terraform

Promote DevOps principles and operational efficiencies across the technology landscape.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and technical standardisation.
Security & Compliance
-
Lead security uplift initiatives aligned to the ACSC Essential Eight Maturity Level 2 (ML2) framework.

Oversee vulnerability management, security remediation and incident response activities.

Ensure compliance with organisational policies, standards and change management processes.
Leadership & Team Development
-
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers.

Set priorities, manage workloads, support performance development and foster technical excellence.

Promote a collaborative, inclusive and knowledge-sharing culture.

Support day-to-day operational management and strategic planning activities.
Project Delivery & Governance
-
Lead major infrastructure, cloud and network projects from planning through delivery.
-
Represent Enterprise Technology at Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.

Ensure technical documentation, runbooks and knowledge articles are maintained and current.

Build strong relationships with vendors, managed service providers and business stakeholders.
About you
-
8+ years' experience across cloud, infrastructure and networking environments.
-
Proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
-
Exposure to database systems would be advantageous.

Strong expertise in Windows Server administration.

Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

Solid networking knowledge including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPNs.
-
Strong automation and scripting skills using PowerShell, Python and Terraform.
-
Experience with SAN/NAS storage technologies.
-
Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Proven track record implementing and uplifting security controls aligned to Essential Eight ML2.

Experience with ITSM tools and processes (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira, Change & CAB management).

Demonstrated success delivering infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations and technology transformation projects.

Strong vendor management, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications & Certifications
-
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Relevant industry certifications desirable, including AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Microsoft Azure Certifications, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA or CCNP, ITIL Certification (preferred)
