The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced Senior Delivery Consultant — Mainframe Modernisation to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with enterprise customers to assess, design, and deliver mainframe migration and modernisation solutions on AWS. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through complex legacy transformation journeys, providing deep technical expertise in mainframe technologies and modern cloud-native architectures throughout the project lifecycle.
Possessing a strong understanding of mainframe platforms (z/OS, COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS) alongside AWS products and services, you will be proficient in architecting modernisation pathways — whether replatforming, refactoring, or re-engineering — tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You'll work closely with stakeholders to assess existing mainframe estates, evaluate application portfolios, and propose effective modernisation strategies that reduce technical debt, lower operational cost, and accelerate innovation on AWS.
As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide guidance on mainframe-to-cloud migration patterns, emerging technologies such as agentic AI and generative AI for code transformation, and industry-proven modernisation approaches. You will be responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimising performance, managing risk, and enabling customer teams to operate independently post-migration.
The AWS Professional Services organisation is a global team of experts that help customers realise their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud.
