ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Skid Steer Loader Operator to join our team to support the Mitchell Freeway Concrete Barriers Upgrade. This will include the removal of existing barriers and replacement with new concrete barriers on the Mitchell Freeway between Ocean Reef Road and Hester Avenue. Work scope includes associated pavement works, services protection, and required significant rail safety management.
As the Skid Steer Loader Operator, you will be reporting to Civil Supervisor, and you will be responsible for constructing pavements to final level and supporting civil construction works.
Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Clear debris, and manage site hazards
- Move, load, and unload materials as directed
- Daily equipment inspections and ensuring proper maintenance of the machine
- Carry out excavation, loading, grading, backfilling, and material handling tasks as required.
- Assist with site preparation, roadworks, drainage, and general earthworks.
- Attach and operate various skid steer attachments including buckets, augers, and other implements.
- Complete daily pre-start inspections and report any faults, damage, or maintenance issues.
To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- RIIMPO318F - Conduct Civil Construction Skid Steer Loader Operations
- Final pavement trim experience
- White Card
- HR Driver’s License
- Main Roads projects experience (desired)
- MUST hold valid Australian Working Rights
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
