We're looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join us on a six-month embedded assignment with one of our long-standing retail clients - a national, purpose-driven Australian retailer with a strong community and sustainability story.
This role is a little different from a typical agency position.
You'll be a full-time member of the ITM team, with your remit entirely dedicated to one client. Two days a week at their Melbourne office, two days with us, one day working from home. It offers the benefits of both worlds - agency thinking, culture and mentoring, alongside real depth working with a single brand.

The role
You’ll be helping deliver marketing for a retail client across:
- Customer & team communication: social community management, customer care, Google Reviews, and internal comms
- Marketing campaigns: supporting the annual marketing calendar, new store launches, and local area activity
- Digital marketing: coordination with paid, SEO and social agencies; content sign-off with US and AU teams
- Customer insights: competitor tracking, monthly reporting, customer analytics summaries
- Events & partnerships: brand events, community program activations, NFP partnerships
It's a broad remit, and no two weeks look the same - a great opportunity for entry-level marketeers.
What you’ll bring
- Marketing qualification, or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years in a marketing, comms or digital role (agency or in-house — both fine)
- Strong writing skills
- Confidence with data - you can read a report, spot the story, and communicate it clearly
- Organised and calm under pressure, able to manage multiple priorities
- A collaborative approach - after all, you'll be working across two teams
- Willingness to get involved across the full range of coordination tasks
- Alignment with values around sustainability and community
Nice to haves
- Previous experience in retail marketing
- Experience working with external agencies (from either side)
- Any exposure to community engagement, NFP partnerships, loyalty programs and/or events
What to expect
Six-month full-time contract. 38 hours per week.
Hybrid working across three locations: two days at the client’s Melbourne office (Brunswick), two days at the ITM office (Richmond) and one day from home. Some flexibility on which days, based on operational needs.
You'll be formally employed by ITM, with our team supporting you day-to-day but we hope the candidate can equally feel like part of our client’s (dream) team.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
