The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and commercially driven Business Development Manager to drive growth of Schneider Electric's Power Systems business across New South Wales.
Working across Industrial, Infrastructure & Electro-Intensive Segments, you will develop opportunities for Schneider Electric's Medium Voltage and Power Distribution portfolio. You will engage with End Users, EPCs, Engineering Consultants and Contractors early in project lifecycles, influencing specifications and positioning Schneider Electric as a trusted partner.
Success in this role requires a combination of business development capability, technical curiosity and relationship-building expertise. You will identify opportunities, create demand within your territory and build a strong pipeline that delivers sustainable growth across NSW.
Working alongside our experienced sales, engineering and project teams, you will help customers improve the safety, reliability and sustainability of their electrical infrastructure while delivering Schneider Electric's industry-leading power system solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a growth strategy for Schneider Electric's Power Systems business across NSW.

Build strong relationships with End Users, EPCs, Engineering Consultants, Contractors and key industry stakeholders.

Identify, qualify and develop opportunities across Medium Voltage, Power Distribution and Services solutions.

Engage customers early in project lifecycles to influence specifications and create demand ahead of tender release.

Build and maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline to deliver sustainable revenue growth and market share expansion.

Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and emerging customer opportunities.

Support commercial negotiations and opportunity management throughout the sales cycle.

Travel throughout NSW as required.
(External) English Qualifications:
Essential Experience
You may currently be working as a Business Development Manager, Account Manager, Sales Engineer, Specification Manager, Application Engineer or Technical Sales Specialist within the electrical, utility, industrial or power distribution sectors.

Proven success in a target-carrying sales, account management or business development role.

Experience building relationships with End Users, EPCs, Engineering Consultants and Contractors.

Demonstrated ability to develop opportunities within project-based or capital investment environments.

Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and customer-focused approach.

Electrical industry experience within power distribution, utilities, infrastructure, industrial or energy markets.
Preferred Experience
-
Knowledge of Medium Voltage products, systems and applications.

Experience with power distribution, substations, protection systems or electrical infrastructure.

Understanding of specification sales, project lifecycles and major capital projects.

Tertiary qualifications (Business, Engineering etc)

Experience using Salesforce CRM or similar opportunity management platforms.
