Maintenance Coordinator
Location: Parramatta

Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8, $116,981 pa - $129,492 pa, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
The Maintenance Coordinator supports the Lead Maintenance Coordinator to deliver effective maintenance services and ensure customer expectations and contractual obligations are met. The role is responsible for coordinating maintenance programs, managing stakeholder relationships, monitoring contractor performance, and delivering maintenance outcomes within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality standards across multiple sites.
What you’ll do
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating facilities maintenance services across DCJ facilities, ensuring assets remain fit for purpose, provide value for money, and comply with organisational, public sector and legislative requirements.
The role supports the delivery of maintenance programs through stakeholder engagement, contractor management, site inspections and audits, reviewing and approving maintenance works, monitoring service delivery performance, analysing financial and operational data, and participating in operational meetings.
The position requires regular travel across the region and offers a dynamic, flexible work environment where priorities can change, and no two days are the same.
The Facilities Maintenance Team is a dynamic and collaborative team within Infrastructure & Assets, delivering maintenance services across a diverse portfolio of Correctional Centres, Youth Justice facilities and Courts.
The team is known for its strong stakeholder focus, supportive culture and commitment to achieving practical outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to work with experienced professionals in a flexible and varied environment, ideas are encouraged, and teamwork is key to success.
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will have experience in facilities maintenance, contract management, and service delivery across a large and diverse property portfolio.
A technical, trade or property-related background would be highly regarded, along with a sound understanding of statutory maintenance requirements, relevant legislation, and the prioritisation of reactive, planned preventative and major periodic maintenance activities.
This role would suit a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about maintenance and delivering quality customer outcomes.
The successful candidate will be confident engaging with stakeholders, presenting information, managing competing priorities and working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable qualifications, experience and skills:
Qualification, trade certificate or relevant experience in facilities management, building, construction, maintenance, asset management or a related field.
Experience managing maintenance contracts and service providers across a large property portfolio.
Knowledge of maintenance planning, asset management principles, compliance requirements and risk management.
Experience interpreting maintenance data, contractor performance metrics and financial reports.
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently in the field while maintaining strong connections with the broader team.
Experience working within a government or similarly complex environment would be advantageous.
