ChildFund Australia (CFA) is an independent international development organisation working to create a world where every child can reach their full potential. ChildFund Australia is a registered charity, a member of the Australian Council for International Development, and fully accredited by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade which manages the Australian Government’s overseas aid program.

Position Objectives

The aim of the Executive Assistant role is:

To improve organisational leadership and management by providing effective administrative assistance to the ChildFund Australia CEO and Sydney based executive team.

To improve the efficiency of ChildFund Australia’s Sydney office by coordinating and managing office functions.

This role is for you if you enjoy high attention to detail, love variety in your work, can work with an experienced CEO and executive team, and deliver on the below items:

Executive assistance to the CEO and Board
Event management and coordination including organising business functions, catering, staff workshops/conferences and other special meetings, travel and transfer arrangements, appointment setting and scheduling

Selection Criteria

Essential

Experience as a personal assistant, executive assistant or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
Good organisational skills, high attention to detail and flexible
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and competing priorities
Demonstrated ability to liaise at an executive level with external stakeholders
Highly motivated and able to work autonomously, meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Desirable

Prior experience in non-profit organisations
Understanding of international development issues
Advanced computer skills

Additional information

Permanent appointment to this position is dependent upon successful completion of a NSW Working with Children Check and an Australian Federal Police Check
