Smile Painting now has a rare opportunity for full-time Painting Trade Workers to join our team. This is an exciting chance for the right candidate to really shine. We are looking for experienced painters who take pride in their work and are committed to delivering high-quality results.

About the role:

The nominated role of Painting Trade worker is an existing role at Smile Painting, and we require a skilled Painting Trade Worker to implement our high-demand projects.

Position Title: Painting Trader Worker-(ANZSCO-332211)

Location of Employment: Wallan -3756

Employment Type: Full Time (38 hours per week) Permanent

Remuneration: $75,000 -$85,000 plus guaranteed superannuation

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Painter, your responsibilities will be.

Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint
Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.
Able to apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, etc. to property walls, ceilings, and furniture.
Able to effectively use brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
Responsible for maintaining property colour scheme specifications.
Responsible for maintaining and matching shades of areas.
Choosing and purchasing paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors
Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
Coordinate with the vendor to modify paint, stain, or varnish colours.
Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
Report work-related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to the manager/supervisor.
Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.

Qualifications:

A relevant Certificate III level qualification is required for this role. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant role may substitute but this will be judged on an individual case basis.

Desirable:

Past experience gained (post qualification) in the same role for 1 year would be the minimum requirement for the incumbent to have the necessary level of proficiency
