Your Role:
As a Parks Operator, you’ll support the day-to-day horticultural maintenance, landscaping and turf management of the City’s parks and green spaces. Reporting to the Team Lead, you’ll help ensure these important community spaces remain safe, attractive and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate horticultural equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
- Prepare and plant garden beds and landscaped areas.
- Mow, brush-cut and edge parks, reserves and open spaces.
- Inspect and maintain tools and equipment, reporting faults and maintenance needs.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a practical and reliable team player with knowledge and experience in current horticultural practices, along with experience using a range of horticultural equipment.
You’ll bring a strong understanding of safe working practices, well-developed communication skills and experience working effectively within a small team. You must also hold a current C Class driver’s licence and Construction Induction Card.
A Certificate II or higher in Horticulture and an MR Class driver’s licence will be highly regarded.
