BAR MANAGER/SUPERVISOR - NEW ITALIAN RESTAURANT

Taylor’s Lakes - 4 Corners Italian Restaurant

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Bar Manager to join our exciting new Italian restaurant.

This is a fantastic opportunity to come on board before opening and help us set up and build the bar operation from the ground up. We need someone who knows bars inside and out and can take ownership of the department once we open.

What you’ll be responsible for

Setting up the complete bar operation ready for opening
Creating and serving quality cocktails and mixed drinks
Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, RTDs and alcoholic beverages
Helping develop our cocktail and beverage menu
Good wine knowledge, with Italian and imported Italian wines highly regarded
Contacting suppliers, negotiating pricing and organising initial orders
Ordering alcohol, wine, beer, soft drinks, glassware and all bar requirements
Managing stock levels, stocktakes, wastage and beverage costs
Making quality espresso coffee and training staff in coffee preparation
Recruiting, hiring, training and managing bar staff
Preparing the bar for busy restaurant service
Managing staff and maintaining fast, professional service
Operating and understanding POS systems, cash handling and end-of-shift procedures
Maintaining excellent presentation, cleanliness and organisation
Ensuring RSA, liquor licensing and responsible service requirements are followed

We’re looking for someone who

Has previous Bar Manager, Bar Supervisor or senior bartender experience, preferably in a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.

You must be confident making cocktails and mixed drinks, understand wine and spirits, know how to make good coffee and be capable of managing suppliers, stock and staff.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the bar, lead from the front and keep it running efficiently during high-volume service.
