At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.

Ongoing full-time employment
Based in Parramatta, requiring attendance at the base location two days per week, with one day per week at an alternative office.
Salary ranges from $102,936 to $113,579 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The role provides a range of executive support and administrative services to facilitate the delivery of business operations and to support the Senior Executive/s achievement of organisational objectives.

Key accountabilities

Prioritise requests and manage the Executive’s time, diary and competing demands.
Coordinate appointments, travel, meetings, records and correspondence.
Prepare briefs, agendas, minutes, presentations and executive correspondence.
Gather and provide accurate information and reports to support decision-making.
Maintain effective systems, procedures and technology to support efficient service delivery.

About you

Manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality support under pressure and tight deadlines.
Maintain confidentiality, discretion and professionalism at all times.
Communicate clearly and effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Build positive working relationships across different teams and levels.
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
