The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ has a fantastic opportunity for a Sludge Treatment Plant Operator to join our team at the Moomba Sludge Treatment Plant (5710). As a Sludge Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for sampling, daily operation and maintenance tasks.

What you'll be responsible for

Be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the sludge treatment plant, complying with OHS requirements
Understand all process, maintenance and operational issues occurring on a day to day basis
Perform routine work orders, preventive maintenance and breakdown tasks as directed
Monitor plant operations and assist in plant optimisation
Undertake sample collection and laboratory analysis
Undertake process troubleshooting and problem solving whilst identifying process improvements
Carry out routine maintenance duties including managing resources, tools, and equipment
Contributing to a safety first and continuous improvement culture

What you'll need to be successful

Current car licence
Experience in plant operations preferred (or currently studying related field with site experience)
Knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment is preferred
Ability to work independently and unsupervised
