About the role:

We're looking for a casual Kitchen Hand to join our team at Northern Hospital (Epping).

The role:

Able to work 6:30am to 11:30am shifts.
Assisting with basic food preparation and plating of meals under direction.
Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain strict hygiene standards.
Washing dishes, trays, and crockery in line with infection prevention and control practices.
Supporting the set-up and dismantling of food service areas for meal periods.
Assisting Food Service Attendants and Menu Monitors to ensure meals are delivered on time and in good condition.
Following all safety guidelines to protect self, staff, and patients.

About you

Previous experience in a food services, catering, or hospitality environment.
Knowledge of food hygiene, safe food handling, and HACCP standards.
Awareness of infection prevention and control procedures in a healthcare setting.
Experience in a hospital or clinical food service environment is desired.
Understanding of dietary codes, nutritional requirements, and patient-centred meal delivery.
Completion of training in food safety or environmental hygiene.
Police Clearance, or ability to obtain, is essential.
Evidence of immunisation for current influenza is essential.
