Are you an experienced Personal Care, Cosmetics, Specialty Chemicals or Ingredients sales professional looking for your next opportunity?
We’re looking for a commercially driven Sales Representative – Personal Care to join our Melbourne team and help grow our Personal Care business across Australia.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical understanding of cosmetic ingredients with strong commercial and relationship-building skills, working with leading beauty brands, formulators, contract manufacturers and distribution partners.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship & Key Account Management

Manage and grow strategic relationships with leading beauty brands, contract manufacturers, and distribution partners across Australia.
Work closely with key customers including brand owners, R&D teams, formulators, procurement managers, and commercial stakeholders to identify innovation and growth opportunities
Support new product developments from concept through commercialization by leveraging Croda's portfolio.

Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement

Monitor beauty and personal care market trends, competitor activity, ingredient innovations, and regulatory developments.
Represent Croda at industry conferences, customer innovation days, technical seminars, supplier presentations, and trade exhibitions.
Provide customer and market insights to support business strategy, innovation initiatives, and portfolio development.

Commercial & Strategic Account Management

Deliver revenue, volume, and margin growth through strategic account planning and business development activities.
Lead pricing discussions, annual negotiations, supply agreements, tenders, and long-term customer contracts.
-of-wallet through cross-selling and introduction of new technologies.
Develop account growth strategies aligned with both customer objectives and Croda's business priorities.

Internal Stakeholder Collaboration

Liaise closely with Technical, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Finance teams to deliver seamless customer support.
Coordinate cross-functional resources to resolve technical, commercial, supply chain, and regulatory issues.
Support global and regional product teams by sharing market intelligence, customer feedback, and emerging industry trends.
Work collaboratively with distributors and channel partners to maximize market coverage and customer engagement.

Sales Pipeline, CRM & Forecasting

Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines and customer project tracking through CRM systems (SAP C4C or equivalent).
Develop and manage sales forecasts, demand planning inputs, and revenue projections to support business objectives.
Monitor project progression, conversion rates, and commercial performance against annual targets.

Reporting & Business Planning

Prepare annual business plans, strategic account reviews, budget forecasts, and territory growth strategies.
Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer performance metrics to identify growth opportunities and business risks.
Provide regular reporting on revenue performance, opportunity pipeline, project wins, forecasting accuracy, and customer activity.
Ensure disciplined territory management and efficient prioritization of customer engagement activities.

Your Experience & Expertise

5+ years’ experience in Personal Care, Cosmetics, Specialty Chemicals, Ingredients or a related industry.
Proven track record in B2B sales, business development and key account management.
Experience working with beauty brands, contract manufacturers, formulators and/or distributors.
Strong commercial skills including pricing, negotiation, forecasting and strategic account planning.
Knowledge of cosmetic ingredients such as actives, emulsifiers, surfactants, botanicals and specialty materials is highly desirable.
Experience using CRM systems for pipeline management, opportunity tracking, forecasting and reporting.
Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate effectively across Technical, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Finance teams.
