Join Our Team as an NDIS Support Worker

Location: Wooloowin QLD 4030 and surrounding suburbs

Position: NDIS Support Worker
Employment Type: Casual

Due to the specific support requirements of the participant, an experienced female support worker is required for this role.

Care to Heal Pty Ltd is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated support workers to join our team on a casual basis. The role involves providing high-quality, person-cententred support to people with disabilities, including participants who may display behaviours of concern or require additional behavioural support.

Care to Heal Pty Ltd is an NDIS-registered provider dedicated to supporting people with disabilities to achieve their personal goals. Our services include assistance with daily living, personal care, community participation, psychosocial support and supported independent living.

Role and Responsibilities

As an NDIS Support Worker, you will:

Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
Encourage community participation and social engagement.
Assist with meal preparation, medication prompts and light household duties.
Implement and follow individual care plans, risk assessments and Behaviour Support Plans.
Support participants who may display behaviours of concern.
Use positive behaviour support, de-escalation and redirection strategies where required.
Identify and report behavioural changes, incidents, risks and concerns.
Maintain accurate shift notes, progress notes and incident reports.
Foster a safe, respectful and positive environment.
Build meaningful connections through mentorship and supportive guidance.
Work collaboratively with families, coordinators, behaviour support practitioners and the wider care team.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

Certificate III in Individual Support or an equivalent qualification.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Police Check completed within the last six months.
Valid Australian driver's licence.
Reliable vehicle with comprehensive or third-party property damage insurance.
Ability to confidently support participants with behaviours of concern.
Understanding of professional boundaries, duty of care and restrictive practice requirements.

Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans, managing challenging situations or supporting participants with complex needs is highly desirable.

A minimum of one year of disability support experience is preferred.
