We are hiring for a talented Retail Operations Coordinator to join our Australian Open Retail team to deliver the Australian Open 2027. This is a full-time fixed-term contract based at Tennis HQ, supporting the planning, delivery and operation of the official Australian Open merchandise stores.

About the role
Reporting to the Retail Manager, you'll support the planning, coordination and execution of retail operations across the Australian Open retail outlets, helping deliver store readiness, operational excellence and outstanding customer experiences throughout the tournament.
In this role you will be responsible for:

Coordinating the bump-in, setup and merchandising of AO retail stores across Melbourne Park, ensuring stores are ready to open on schedule.

Leading retail operational planning, including workforce coordination, equipment allocation, logistics, security and cleaning requirements.

Managing operational equipment, supporting POS setup and testing, and ensuring stores maintain best-in-class operational standards throughout the tournament.

Working closely with retail supervisors, logistics teams, external agencies and key stakeholders to resolve operational issues and drive successful outcomes.

Producing operational communications, end-of-day reporting and post-event evaluations while supporting post-tournament stocktake and inventory activities.
About you
To be successful in this role you will:

Have experience delivering retail operations, activations or event operations within a multi-site retail, major event or fast-paced environment.

Demonstrate strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, timelines and budgets with accuracy.

Be a highly organised problem solver with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Possess excellent relationship-building and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders

Have strong computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office, and ideally experience in large-scale retail or event environments.

Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia.
