About the Role

The Account Manager VIC/TAS position offers an outstanding opportunity for a driven and experienced professional to lead a high-impact territory, represent premium locally engineered equipment and influence long-term fleet strategies across key markets.

As the commercial lead for Bucher Municipal’s complete product portfolio, this role is responsible for delivering profitable growth throughout Victoria and Tasmania. Operating in a field-based capacity, the Account Manager manages the full customer lifecycle – from shaping tender strategies to developing tailored fleet solutions – while collaborating cross-functionally to maximise customer value, strengthen market presence and drive sustainable business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Delivery

Deliver annual sales targets across all Bucher product groups.
Drive profitable growth through new equipment sales, fleet replacement programs and new customer acquisition.
Maintain pricing discipline aligned to margin and governance frameworks.

Account & Territory Management

Develop and execute a regional sales plan aligned to national strategy.
Manage and grow accounts across local government, contractors, utilities and specialist industrial customers.
Build multi-level relationships across operational, technical, procurement and executive stakeholders.

Tendering & Commercial Management

Lead end-to-end tender processes including specification influence, pricing strategy and risk assessment.
Provide bid/no-bid recommendations and negotiate contracts in line with governance standards.

Pipeline & Forecasting

Maintain disciplined CRM management (D365).
Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts.
Clearly communicate risks, timing and opportunity probability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Aftersales, Marketing, Product, Engineering and Sales Operations.
Ensure seamless transition from sales through to delivery.

About You

Essential

5+ years’ experience in B2B capital equipment or technical sales
Proven ability to manage large, remote territories
Strong tendering and negotiation capability
High commercial acumen and financial literacy
CRM discipline and structured forecasting approach
Current driver’s licence and ability to travel extensively

Desirable

Experience within municipal, waste, infrastructure, utilities or heavy vehicle sectors
Exposure to government procurement environments
Lifecycle value selling experience
