About the opportunity
The Resolution Digital team is looking for a hands-on Technical Lead with experience with Sitecore to join the team in Sydney. The role requires strong expertise across both Sitecore CMS configuration and custom development, including templates, layouts, page designs, personalisation, content management, rule logic, xDB, reporting and platform. integrations.
As the primary technical lead across multiple projects, you will be responsible for defining solution architecture, preparing implementation plans for IT sign-off, and driving delivery through Jira sprint cycles. You will also work closely with an offshore development team to coordinate tasks, conduct code reviews, resolve technical issues and ensure delivery meets project standards and timelines.
We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable working hands-on in Sitecore and leading technical discussions with stakeholders. You will take ownership of technical outcomes, communicate clearly, make sound architectural decisions and keep delivery on track.
You'll be responsible for:
- Sitecore Development & CMS Management: Configure templates, layouts, page/partial designs and containers, with hands-on development using SXA, Scriban, Razor and Links Manager.
- Personalisation & A/B Testing: Build and maintain rule- and code-based personalisation using Sitecore Rules Engine and xDB, including A/B testing and component validation.
- Reporting & SQL: Develop SQL queries and stored procedures for custom reporting via CSV exports and Sitecore dashboards.
- Environment & Package Management: Manage Sitecore packages and Unicorn serialization to support consistent deployment and item synchronisation across environments.
- Solution Architecture & IT Sign-Off: Develop solution architectures and detailed implementation plans for form.al IT approval.
- Delivery & Jira: Manage Jira tickets through the full delivery lifecycle, including sprint planning, estimation and progress tracking.
- Team Collaboration & Standards: Coordinate with offshore developers on delivery, code reviews and technical standards, ensuring alignment with Sitecore best practices and coding conventions.
We're looking for someone who has:
- 6-10 years in web development, including at least 4 years of hands-on Sitecore development.
- Strong Sitecore XP, SXA, Scriban, C#, Razor, ASP.NET MVC/.NET, xDB, SQL, Solr, Rules Engine, personalisation and A/B testing experience.
- Experience with Sitecore templates, layouts, pages, containers, partial designs, package management, Unicorn, Azure/cloud deployments, Git, Sourcetree and Jira.
- Ability to develop and clearly present solution architectures and technical documentation to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and decision-making skills, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to provide clear technical direction, task definitions and handover documentation across time zones.
- Strong team player who works effectively with IT, QA, Business and offshore teams.
- Proactive, accountable and confident leading technical discussions, driving decisions and managing multiple workstreams.
- Comfortable working across multiple environments while managing parallel priorities and maintaining high standards for testing, reporting and code quality.
