WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
Enaex Australia is seeking experienced and motivated Underground Drill & Blast Technical Support professionals to join our EMTS team in Western Australia.
This is a dynamic technical role that combines underground field support, customer engagement, training, and drill & blast optimisation, making it ideal for experienced Shotfirers, Technical Specialists, Trainers, or Drill & Blast professionals looking to take the next step in their career.
Working across underground mining operations, you will partner closely with customers and operational teams to deliver technical advice, support electronic initiation systems, improve blasting outcomes, and strengthen customer relationships. You will play an important role in helping customers maximise safety, productivity, compliance, and blast performance.
This opportunity offers the chance to move beyond traditional operational roles and become part of a specialist technical team responsible for influencing outcomes across multiple operations and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support across underground drill and blast operations
- Deliver training and support on electronic initiation systems and Enaex technologies
- Provide technical advice and blast optimisation recommendations to customers
- Audit underground blasting practices and identify improvement opportunities
- Build strong technical relationships with customer site personnel and operational teams
- Support equipment preparation, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting onsite
- Contribute to training material development and continuous improvement initiatives
For more experienced candidates, the role may also involve:
- Leading technical projects and customer engagements
- Mentoring and developing technical team members
- Supporting business growth through technical expertise and customer influence
- Contributing to strategic technical planning and innovation programs
Ideally you will have;
- Experience in underground drill & blast, shotfiring, or technical mining environments
- Current Shotfirer's Licence with practical underground experience
- Experience with electronic initiation or detonator systems
- Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience delivering training, mentoring, or technical support (highly regarded)
- Strong problem-solving capability and a passion for continuous improvement
- A proactive approach to learning, innovation, and customer outcomes
