The Opportunity

We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join the Qube Heavy Lift Team, based in our Brisbane office in Hendra.

As Senior Contracts Administrator, you will partner with the Project Management and Operational team and will be responsible for the contract administration, finance management, cost control and tender support relating to projects and other supply agreements delivered by the Qube Heavy Lift Team.

This position reports to the Commercial Manager Heavy Lift.

Key responsibilities

Assist in the preparation, review and administration of contracts and related documents.
Administration of head contracts ensuring all obligations are fulfilled including assisting in the preparation of progress claims, notices, variations, and other contractual correspondence.
Support the Commercial Manager and Project Manager in managing project timelines, budgets and resources.
Assist as required in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions with subcontractors and suppliers.
Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve contractual issues promptly.
Communicating changes in the business's legal and commercial obligations to individuals at a project level.
Assist management with project cost forecasting and monthly costs reporting.
Maintain accurate and organised contract files and documentation, including commercial registers relating to contractual correspondence.
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement through collaboration across the Project Management team.
Provide general administrative support to the project team as required including raising of Purchase Orders etc.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company policies, internal business procedures and safety standards.

About you

Previous experience required in a similar role within the logistics or construction industry.
Tertiary or other qualifications in a related field is desirable.
Knowledge of service or logistics contracts and administrative processes within these contracts.
Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously and within deadlines.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral, including conversing with customers.
Ability to work within a team environment to successfully achieve business goals.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage contractual issues.
Presentable and professional at all times, with strong organisational skills.
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred.
Familiarity with project management software and tools is advantageous.
