About the role
We have an opportunity for a Band Member (Clarinet) to be part of the NSW Police Band, Public Affairs Branch. The Band Member contributes to the positive promotion of the NSWPFF through community engagement by performing as a musician in the NSW Police Band (a Wind Orchestra) and its various ensembles.
This role attracts a 'Doubling' allowance for playing a second instrument as required.
Position is currently occupied on a 4 month contract ending 14th November 2026.

A musician in the NSW Police Band must have the capacity to meet key challenges of the role which include; performaning in a variety of settings including less than desirable outdoor environments in varying weather conditions (including prolonged periods of standing and marching in those conditions) & being able to work coloboratively within a large and diverse musical team. Demonstrate how your life and workplace experiences can be adapted to successfully meet these key non-musical challenges.
Target Question 2:
It is highly desirable that a musician possesses additional skills that can be adapted to contribute to the ongoing success of the band. Please outline any additional skills that you have, your experience and/or qualifications, and how you might contribute to the success of the NSW Police Band (examples may include arranging, composing, recording/sound skills etc).

Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check and obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
