About the role
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Lead Business Development Manager – Geosolutions to join our Digital Solutions business and play a key role in building and scaling a new regional growth team across Australia Pacific.
This role is focused on unlocking untapped opportunity in geotechnical monitoring and digital solutions by strengthening customer relationships, developing new commercial pathways, and prioritising the strategic opportunities that will shape the region’s growth agenda. You will help map the way forward for a high-potential market while bringing innovative technologies and services to customers across mining and infrastructure.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded leader who enjoys combining strategic thinking, customer engagement, and people leadership. You will have the opportunity to build capability, shape priorities, and establish a clear growth roadmap for a developing regional team, while working with some of the industry’s most recognised organisations and contributing to technologies that are transforming the future of mining and infrastructure.
The role will be based in Australia with travel throughout the Australia Pacific region as required.
What you will be doing
Business Development & Commercial Growth
Lead regional sales and business development strategies to achieve growth targets, expand market share, and build a scalable growth platform for Geosolutions in AusPac.
Identify, prioritise, and secure new business opportunities across mining and infrastructure sectors, including areas of untapped demand.
Drive commercialisation of geotechnical monitoring, software, services, and digital solutions.
Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities, support accurate forecasting and sales planning, and translate market insight into clear growth priorities.
Customer & Market Leadership
Develop trusted relationships with key customers and strategic partners across the region.
Lead major account growth initiatives and support contract management activities.
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and define where the team should focus first.
Provide market insights that help shape future product and service offerings and inform the regional growth roadmap.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing business development team as the function grows in the region.
Collaborate with technical, marketing, product, and operational stakeholders to deliver customer solutions.
Support bid management and proposal development processes for strategic opportunities.
Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, commercial excellence, and entrepreneurial ownership as the team establishes its regional presence.
What you will bring
Significant experience in business development, sales leadership, or commercial management roles.
Proven success leading teams and delivering growth within mining, geotechnical monitoring, infrastructure, or related industries.
Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and influence commercial outcomes.
Experience managing complex solution-based sales cycles and large opportunity pipelines.
Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
A strategic mindset combined with the ability to execute and deliver results.
