THE OPPORTUNITY:
Located in Orange, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Support – Cables professional to join our team. In this role you will provide technical leadership across our Cables business by developing capability, maintaining compliance, supporting operational excellence, and providing expert technical guidance to our workshop teams.
This role will involve occasional travel to JTMEC branches and customer sites to provide technical support, deliver training and ensure compliance with cable repair standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Competency Development
- Deliver structured technical training and competency assessments.
- Support employees in achieving and maintaining Cable Signatory status.
- Develop and maintain training materials and assessment tools.
- Coach and mentor workshop personnel to build technical capability.
Technical Documentation & Standards
- Develop, review and maintain cable repair procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure documentation aligns with OEM requirements and relevant industry standards.
- Maintain document control and revision management.
Compliance & Licensing
- Maintain workshop licensing and regulatory compliance.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete and traceable.
- Monitor changes to relevant legislation and industry standards.
Operational Support
- Provide technical advice to workshop personnel.
- Assist with troubleshooting complex repairs.
- Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Commercial & Business Development
- Provide technical support for quotations and customer enquiries.
- Assist the sales team with technical advice.
- Identify opportunities to grow the JTMEC Cables business.
- Promote the capabilities and services of the workshop.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Cable Repair Signatory certification
- Extensive experience in cable repair within the mining or industrial sectors
- Strong knowledge of cable repair standards and industry requirements
- Experience delivering technical training and mentoring others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
- A collaborative and customer-focused approach
