Full Job Description

Tigerlily is seeking an experienced Head Designer / Brand Director to lead the creative vision, product strategy, and brand evolution of our iconic Australian fashion brand as we enter an exciting new phase of growth.

Reporting to the GM of Product & Marketing, you will be responsible for shaping and elevating the Tigerlily brand, driving product innovation, and delivering commercially successful collections and customer experiences across all touchpoints. This is a highly influential leadership role, combining strategic brand direction with creative excellence and commercial performance.

Based in Sydney, this hybrid position offers a 4 days in-office, 1 day work-from-home model and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future growth and success of the business.

We are looking for a strategic, commercially minded design leader who brings a strong vision for brand building, a deep understanding of the customer, and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams. You are collaborative, influential, and passionate about creating distinctive products and experiences that drive both brand relevance and business results.

You will:

Define and lead Tigerlily's brand, product, and creative strategy across swimwear, apparel, accessories, marketing, ecommerce, and wholesale channels.
Drive seasonal design direction and oversee the development of commercially successful, brand-defining collections.
Lead and mentor the Design team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and high performance.
Partner closely with Buying, Planning, Sourcing, Marketing, Ecommerce, and Wholesale teams to align product and brand strategies with business objectives.
Use customer, sales, and performance insights to inform design decisions and optimise commercial outcomes.
Oversee creative campaigns, brand collaborations, PR activations, events, and content execution across all channels.
Manage budgets, KPIs, forecasting, and reporting to ensure strong financial and brand performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with offshore suppliers, guiding product development, fit, fabrication, and quality standards.

You have:

Proven experience in a senior Design, Head of Design, Creative Director or Brand Director role within fashion retail, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands.
8+ years' experience in fashion design and product development, with expertise across swimwear, womenswear, apparel, and lifestyle categories.
Strong portfolio demonstrating commercially successful product ranges, brand-building capability, and creative leadership.
Deep technical knowledge of garment construction, fit, fabrication, sourcing, and end-to-end product development.
Experience working with offshore suppliers and managing product development through to production.
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to leverage customer insights, performance data, and market trends to inform decision-making.
Experience partnering effectively with Buying, Planning, Marketing, Ecommerce, Wholesale, and Sourcing teams to deliver business outcomes.
Understanding of brand strategy, campaign development, and customer experience across multiple channels.
Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology, Product Development, or a related discipline.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with strong technical design and product specification skills.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing capabilities, with experience contributing to business strategy and organisational growth.
