The Role:
The Licensing & Registrations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring our retail network maintains the legal right to operate. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of licences, permits and registrations across the business, while providing compliance oversight, risk monitoring and continuous improvement support to ensure regulatory requirements are met and operational disruption is minimised.
You will provide:
- End-to-end management of licences, permits and registrations across the retail network, including applications, renewals, amendments and variations.
- Monitoring and analysis of licensing compliance obligations to identify and mitigate potential risks before they impact operations.
- Coordination with internal stakeholders to gather information, approvals and supporting documentation required for licensing activities.
- Maintenance of accurate and centralised licensing registers, records and compliance documentation.
- Preparation of reporting and insights on licence status, upcoming renewals, compliance performance and regulatory risks.
- Management of licensing fee schedules and payment processes to ensure obligations are met accurately and on time.
- Investigation of licensing and compliance issues, supporting remediation activities and driving resolution of identified risks.
- Continuous improvement of licensing systems, processes and tracking tools, including support for automation initiatives.
- Provision of advice and guidance to operational stakeholders on licensing requirements, conditions and regulatory obligations.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with regulators, government bodies and external authorities.
- Supporting audits, inspections and due diligence activities by maintaining accurate, audit-ready records.

About You:
- Previous experience in a compliance, licensing, governance, regulatory or similar specialist role.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, regulatory obligations, risk management principles and assurance practices.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, assess risk and provide practical recommendations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within strict timeframes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across a diverse business.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Experience with Smartsheet, Power Automate, Python and/or D365 will be highly regarded.
