What you'll be doing

The Administrative Assistant provides support and assistance to the Director of Medical services for Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick and the Rural Relief Paediatric Program as well as the SCHN Director of Clinical Governance and Medical Administration and at times to the broader Executive services. Services are provided in office management, management of the director's schedule, secretarial support of meetings, project management, communication and customer service, arrangement travel & conferences and specific functions related to the Director's portfolio. For the Rural Relief program the Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the NSH Rural Relief Program, supporting the 2 FTE Staff Specialists and the Director of the service

Demonstrated success in delivering high level support services to Executive staff.
Excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Highly developed communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to interact with people at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to show initiative and use sound judgment and work collaboratively and as part of a team as well as independently to meet multiple deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to manage a high workload, prioritise tasks whilst under sustained pressure, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
Meeting preparation, organisation and minute taking experience using different recording methods including computer.
Proficient use of equipment and software (including records management software) to the level described in the position description.
Demonstrated experience in project management will be highly regarded.
