Your day as a Senior Advisor
If you are a strategic thinker who enjoys solving complex problems, developing evidence-based advice and working at the centre of government, we would welcome your application.
This is a great opportunity to work at the centre of government on policy and budget issues, helping shape decisions on more than $30 billion in annual transport expenditure across NSW.
Experience in central agencies, transport, infrastructure, finance, consulting, strategy or broader policy environments is valuable, but is not essential. What matters most is your ability to think strategically, communicate clearly, engage effectively and contribute to work that has real public value.
As a Senior Advisor in the Transport team, you will proactively identify issues, solve problems and bring structure to complex and ambiguous matters. You will apply policy and problem-solving frameworks to develop a robust evidence base, draw out insights and identify practical options to address emerging challenges.
You will prepare clear, concise and persuasive advice for key stakeholders and decision-makers and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, navigating different priorities and perspectives to support high-quality outcomes.
The Transport team sits within our Policy and Budget Group and the Transport, Arts, Regions & Planning Division. Read more about your future Group and Division.
