Events & Community Intern (Future Startup Incubator Leader)(part-time)
About the Role
This is more than an internship—it's an opportunity to become a future leader within our startup incubator.
We are looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial, and highly driven university student who is passionate about startups, innovation, and building communities. You will take ownership of planning and delivering our flagship events, including Demo Days, Open Days, Founder Meetups, Workshops, and Networking Events, while working closely with startup founders, investors, mentors, corporate partners, and universities.
This role is designed as a leadership pipeline. High-performing interns will progressively take on greater responsibilities in operations, community building, partnerships, and strategic initiatives, with the opportunity to grow into the future leadership of the incubator.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning and execution of Demo Days, Open Days, startup showcases, workshops, and community events.
Coordinate with startup founders, mentors, investors, sponsors, speakers, and partners to deliver outstanding event experiences.
Manage event logistics, registration, communications, venues, budgets, suppliers, and event operations.
Build and engage a vibrant startup community through regular networking and ecosystem activities.
Work with the marketing team to promote events across digital and social media channels.
Support partnership development with universities, industry, government, and innovation organisations.
Identify opportunities to improve event quality, community engagement, and operational efficiency.
Collect feedback, analyse event outcomes, and recommend improvements.
Take ownership of special projects that contribute to the long-term growth of the incubator.
About You
We're looking for someone with leadership potential rather than years of experience.
You are:
A university student at any stage of their degree, or a recent graduate, with a strong interest in entrepreneurship, startups, innovation, or business.
Naturally proactive and willing to take ownership of projects from idea to execution.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment where priorities evolve quickly.
A creative problem solver who enjoys finding innovative solutions.
Highly organised, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
An excellent communicator with the confidence to engage founders, executives, investors, and external stakeholders.
Curious, resilient, and eager to continuously learn and improve.
Someone who enjoys bringing people together and building communities.

The VP of Business Development is responsible for strategic partnerships, key deals, and new revenue channel development.
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for day-to-day operations and cross-functional execution.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for financial strategy, budgeting, cash flow management, and fundraising support.
