The Role
We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Multi Skilled Equipment Operator to join the Isa Surface Fleet Roads & Waste team. Reporting to the Roads & Waste Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining critical road infrastructure, landfill operations and waste management services across the Mount Isa Mines and George Fisher Mine leases. Grader experience is essential, while loader, dozer and landfill compactor experience is highly regarded. Training and development will be provided to the successful candidate.

This residential role operates on a 7/7 roster (12-hour day shifts, 42-hour average week).

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Promoting and reinforcing a culture of safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement

Operating a variety of Heavy Earth Moving equipment

Working with other departments, contractors and teams to support production targets are safely met

Maintaining a high level of safety in the way we work

Monitoring, reporting and conducting thorough equipment prestart inspection

Safe operation of machinery across site and positive communication

You will have the following skillset and attributes:

Grader operator experience is essential

Loader, dozer and landfill compactor operating experience is highly regarded

Strong time management skills

Ability to communicate at all levels

Flexible attitude and sound work ethic

Ability to achieve results within the specified time frames

Strong customer focus is required as well as a high level of attention to detail

Ability to work well within a team environment or with minimal supervision

Proven experience in heavy machinery operations would be advantageous

The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
